2020 College Football Predictions – Week #14

2020 College Football Season

A 5-2 week with one no decision. 72-24 for the year.

The “no decision” was the CC-Liberty pick getting switched out for CC-BYU about 4 hours after we hit “send” on the email epistle. The Chanticleers put on a show and closed it out with a bang-up defensive play in a back-and-forth affair that rivals the Notre Dame-Clemson tilt for the game of the year thus far. Good stuff. Elsewhere, we took a peek at the Bama-LSU game to confirm how far the Bayou Bengals have fallen. Yep, it is a good ways. We, also, checked in on the Ohio State-Michigan State game………………….and yawned. Then as the weekend wound down we spotted S Carolina making headlines with the announcement of a second-generation Beamer as their new head coach. It will be interesting to see how that program trends the next 2-3 years.

This week we get a mixed bag of games that, thankfully, includes a few traditional grudge matches. We scarf a few smart pills, wash them down with a grape Fanta, and, since it is the season, tune in the local Christmas radio station. As we gaze into the crystal orb lyrics from Alvin and the Chipmunks waft through the shop.

“Hurry, Christmas. Hurry fast. We’ve been good, but we can’t last”………………………………

  • PITT – 27
  • GA TECH – 17
  • ARIZONA – 13
  • TROY – 22
  • ARMY – 23 (love the pageantry of this game)
  • NAVY – 17
  • USC – 35
  • UCLA – 26
  • OKLAHOMA – 41
  • W VIRGINIA – 31
  • VA TECH – 30 (revenge is sweet)
  • VIRGINIA – 24

And the 1st Upset Special of the season:

  • N CAROLINA – 36  (in a squeaker, with controversial calls and scattered player ejections)
  • MIAMI – 33

There you have it, folks. See you next week!
