2020 College Football Predictions – Week # 11

2020 College Football Season

6-1 last week with one no decision. 55-19 on the year. Sloppy play still abounds as the season continues to lurch forward in fits and starts.

Week # 10 was already bereft of compelling tilts (zero games between ranked combatants), but with a whopping 15 games cancelled by kickoff the viewer’s buffet table ended up looking like a Weight Watchers’ salad bar. A salad bar without cheese, anchovies, bacon bits, not even those wee cubes of cured ham. A salad bar with only low-cal and fat-free salad dressing in one of those cheap little rotating servers at the end of the table. You know, those dressings that taste like paper napkins. Yuk. With no meat or potatoes or veggies to chew on, your Humble Servant still made the sacrifice and took in a moderate dose of games, knowing that the Unwashed Masses would still be yearning for gridiron guidance in these tenuous times. It was difficult, but we managed to digest some lettuce and raw carrots for the greater good. Some random recollections…………………Michigan was unwatchable. USC continued to utilize smoke and mirrors and pull out wins with late-game magic. Three SEC games performed excellent Big 12ish impersonations. Penn State vaporized before our eyes. Jesse Palmer’s suits still don’t fit.

The menu this week actually has a few main course options. Yep, real food. So let’s hope the juicier offerings make it to kickoff without getting cancelled. Walking down the buffet line these are the games that end up on our tray…

OREGON – 29

UCLA – 16

OHIO STATE – 45                        (it was fun while it lasted, Indiana)

INDIANA – 20

COASTAL CAROLINA – 24        (turnovers tell the tale)

APP STATE – 20

ALABAMA – 48

KENTUCKY – 21

AUBURN – 20                               (more sloppy play)

And that’s a wrap. Enjoy the meal
